Greg Flaniken is a native of the area graduating from Brazosport High School in 1971 and from the University of Houston with a B.B.A. in 1975. He received his real estate license in 1975 and opened his own company in 1977. He has served on the Brazoria County Appraisal District’s review board, the Velasco Drainage District, past president of the Brazoria County Board of Realtors, Chairman of the Professional Standards Committee, past president of the Freeport League, trustee for Brazosport Memorial Hospital, director for Brazosport Medical Clinic and numerous other local organizations. He was married to Melissa Miller for 32 years. They have two children, Doug Miller, works at BASF, Amy Miller is a school teacher in Plano, TX and one granddaughter Skylar.
